What I'm Looking Forward to...

Can't wait until Sept when we visit my parents in mass. I'm starting a list of things I want to do (mostly restaurants I want to eat at) when I'm back. Besides seeing my parents and brother, and fam at my cousin's wedding... here's what I must do...

1. eat at applebee's

2. have chinese food (preferably the Yangtze River)
3. eat Kimball's icecream (and get some for Connor)
4. have teppanyaki
5. go to barnes and nobles (or borders)
6. eat at a sub shop (preferably D'Angelo's... sorry Danny)
****NOTE: will they bring back the crunchy veggi already!!

7. buy whole grain cheerios to bring back for Connor
8. buy clothes and shoes for Connor!
9. buy a potty training book and a potty for Connor (a little early, but who knows if I will get the chance before its time)

Still working on the list...
I know, I'm pathetic
Any suggestions?

Auntie Ky's Visit

Auntie Kylie left this morning (Connor, David and I are sad). It was great to have her here visiting. Connor loves to play and dance with Auntie Kylie. We went to Switzerland this past weekend. The scenery was beautiful. We were in the alps and took some cable cars up to see the Aletsch Glacier. I'll try to post some more pictures later. But here are a couple... We'll miss you Auntie Ky!!

Vigevano... and stuff

Just a couple of cute pictures from this weekend. Connor was being so adorable and posing for Daddy's pictures. This is from lunch in Vigevano. Its a small town about 1/2 hour south of Milan. It has a nice square and castle to see, but not much else. Apparently its a big shoe manufacturing area, but we didn't see any... must have been in the wrong spot... oh well...

Connor was being so cute and hugging and kissing me for the camera! What a lovey boy he is! Some times he can be just amazing! And other times.... well, let's just think about the good times :)

Pavia (pronounced pah-veeee-ah)...

Took a day trip to Pavia this weekend. Its about a 35 minutes drive south of Milan. Nice little city. There is a castle and one of the oldest universities in Italy (from teh 1300's, I think). They had a market going on on Saturday and lots of walking-only streets. I bought a nice summer dress for 13 euros and a pair of sandals for 15 euros. It was nice. Here are a couple of pictures...

Where will we be?????

Okay, can I just say that I am starting to get a little bit fed up with this! We have no idea how long we will be in Italy, and no idea when we will find out how long we will be in Italy! And no idea where we will go next, or when! This is really putting a damper on my day-to-day. Its hard to plan anything! So annoying and frustrating! I'm not sure how much longer I can deal. I know that EM doesn't care about a few people and their families stewing away in Italy, but really! Come on! Let's get some decisions made and figure things out! Really!!!

Ok, I guess that is my vent for the day. Hopefully Connor has fallen asleep, since he refused to nap yesterday (that was not good). I'm going to get some tea. Hopefully it will calm me down!

Here's a pic from our beach adventures and San Marino...
Ci vediamo dopo (see you later)!

Long time, no post!

Sorry its been sooooo long. The summer has been hot so far in Milano and we try to get to the pool as much as possible. I am trying to keep Connor entertained (and that is a tall order). We have managed to go on a short beach trip (see pic below). It was fun. David is in London for the night. Still not sure where we will be living in another 2 months. Who knows??

We are excited because Auntie Kylie will be here in 2 weeks! Yeah! Oh well, have to get Connor down for his nap. Hopefully I'll have more time to write soon...

Ciao!
