This is a blog about me and my family. We currently live in Ulsan, South Korea. We were previously in The Woodlands, TX for 3 years, Den Haag Netherlands for 2 years, and Milano Italy for 1 year. Before that, we were in The Woodlands; before that Baton Rouge; before that Washington DC. My husband and I have two wonderful kids... a boy and a girl.

A very snoshy December...
Last weekend we went to get a tree... We looked at the real ones but decided to get a fake one. The real ones they had were really prickly and not very big for the price... I should have known! Besides, David felt so horrible, that I couldn't make him tie a tree to the car and then drag it up three flights of stairs to our apartment... Anyway... The first picture is Connor checking out the gerbils at the pet/flower store (where the trees were). He just loves animals...
And here is my little boy posing for the camera in his new sweater that Grandma Blackman sent him. So cute! He is getting so big. I can't believe he is going to be 2 in less than a month! We are planning a birthday party for when we are in Arizona visiting his Grandparents. His cousins will be there, so at least there will be 3 little kids :) The theme is Go Diego Go. Connor just loves Deigo!

We are thankful for a healthy baby to be...
Here are our u/s pics from last night (we had an appointment at 7pm on thanksgiving!). Everything looks great. The u/s machine that my doctor uses isn't the greatest, so I know that its hard to tell what you are seeing in these pics... oh well!! We saw 2 arms, 2 legs, a nose... and a nice strong heart. I'm 11.5 weeks. The doctor said that it was too early to tell if it is a boy or girl, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say its a boy... my morning sickness is just too bad! only time will tell!

Independence
Connor wants to do a lot of things by himself these days... putting on his socks and shoes, locking and unlocking the door with the keys, and eating... here is today's example... yogurt :)

A Little Bit of Halloween in Italy
Well... needless to say, Halloween is not a big thing here. You can find a couple of shops with balloons and decorations... but that's pretty much it. We had gotten a costume for Connor when we were in the states at my parents house. There was a little party at Connor's playgroup, and then we had the neighbors and Connor's friend Ellie over for a little dinner and play time... Connor and Ellie went downstairs to another neighbor's place and knocked on the door and Connor said 'Trick-Treat!'. They gave they some cookies they had around t
he house! Funny! Here are a couple of pictures. At the playgroup party, Connor only kept his top half of the costume on briefly... but his friend Angus was more than happy to wear it!

Playing Dress Up
Today Connor's friend Ellie came over and we played dress-up in preparation for Halloween. Ellie really liked wearing her monkey hat. She thought it was hilarious. She really liked to look at herself in the mirror....

Connor and Ellie played together in the livingroom wearing their costumes. Connor is going to be a penguin. He thought he was so funny. He even had the waddle down :)

Here they are exchanging their views on the Obama-McCain debate last night :) Connor is so sick of partisan politics-as-usual. Ellie just wants to know what they are going to do for the failing economy...

This past weekend...
Connor loved this little car (above)... even though we didn't put the tokens in and it never went anywhere :)
Connor loved the jumping frogs... so much fun! He went on this about 10 times :) Different color frog each time.

Daddy and Connor's Big Adventure!
This past weekend Mommy had an extraordinary opportunity to have 1 night away by herself! This was my first night without Connor since he was born (or in fact, since he was conceived, since he was with me all the time when I was pregnant). I spent a night at a 5 star hotel in Milan and got my nails done. Had a bath and read my books. It was very refreshing. Thank you to David and Connor for that gift!! It was our 5th anniversary on Sunday. David got me a beautiful Armani watch (thanks again David!). Anyway, on Saturday, while I had my alone time, David took Connor to this Cowboy Ranch place about an hour out of town. They had a dog agility competition where the dogs run on a course and jump, etc... Connor had a great time, I am told. Here's a picture of him clapping for the dogs in the stands!
Below is a cute one of Connor at the Cowboy Ranch. I missed my little boy so much!
Here's another of him on a big swing! He's growing up too quickly :(
Connor went on a little boat ride. He keeps telling me about how he went on the boat and had a stick (the oar) and went under a bridge... Here he is...
