Peanut Butter!

So, Connor had his first peanut butter sandwich yesterday. I was waiting until I thought he was old enough (because of any potential allergies). He was tentative at first, but ended up eating the whole thing. He liked it! and no allergy, as far as I can tell.

I will post pics soon. We are going to Verona this weekend and Monte Carlo next weekend (with my brother, who arrives Wednesday). So there should be a lot of pictures from that...

What a Cutie!

This is crazy! Connor actually fell asleep in his high chair at the end of having lunch today. Poor little guy... He must have been exhausted to have done that! So cute! He must be just worn out from the past 2 weeks of fun and excitement with Grandma (ba-ma) and Grandpa (ba-ba).

Here's a cute recent pic of my baby...

He loves spaghetti now! So cute. He has sauce all over him, and in his hair!!

Here's a pic of Grandma and me at the opera. We went to La Scala (the famous opera house here in Milan). We waited in line during the day to get 12 euro tickets in the gallery (nose-bleed) seats. We couldn't see the stage unless we stood up, but that's okay. It was a once in a lifetime sort of thing... anyway, here's a picture we snuck inside... We saw MacBeth (Verdi)...

Whoo-Hoo!

Kristy Lee Cook is toast!
Anyway... I'll post again soon... My parents have been in town for the last 2 weeks and we've been touring around. Hopefully I'll post some time this week with some pics...

Um, have you been watching the bachelor? What's the deal with Shayne? Lorenzo Llamas is on the show tonight! Funny!

Idol Shocker...

Quote from MSNBC.com:

'On "Idol Gives Back" week, the voters showed no charity toward one of the stronger men in the competition. The audience didn't just send in more than $60 million in donations to worthy causes, they also sent Michael Johns home in the first shocker of the season.'

WHAT? So annoying! I haven't watched it yet because it aired when I was asleep. I'm so mad! If I was in the US I would have called in for him. So frustrating...

Lago Maggiore Trip

Today we drove up to Lake Maggiore for the day. We thought it may rain, but it never did, which was fantastic! Its not too far to drive from Milan to Stresa; a town on the western side of Lake Maggiore that we were told is the place to go... The challege this morning was getting out of Milan. There was some race this morning and runners seemed to be blocking every route we tried to take out of the city. We finally found a route that worked (after driving around the center of Milan for 40 minutes). An auspicious start to the trip, but we eventually got underway.

Once we got to Stresa, we took a boat over to one of the islands in the middle of the lake. The first island we went to was Isola Pescatori. As you may have guessed, this is a fishing village. Very very quaint with several restaurants with great views just ready to take your tourist dollars (or euros in this case). We let Connor run around and play with all the rocks and play with the ducks, which was very nice. Then we got something to eat at a little place. It was just what the doctor ordered.

Next, we headed on the boat to Isola Bella (the beautiful island). We walked around there, and David and Connor had some gelato. We didn't go inside the Palazzo because they didn't take credit card and it was 11 euros each to get it (WHAT?) What kind of tourist place doesn't take credit card anyway? So annoying. But we had a good time enjoying the atmosphere and views.

All in all, it was a great day trip and Connor was in a really good mood. He didn't cry once in the car (a record!). And, he was awake the whole way there! He slept most of the way home, which was nice.
David is still recovering from yet another illness, but it looks like Connor may have avoided that one (fingers crossed). We'll see the status of Connor's ear infections on Wednesday.

Until then, Ciao!

Teeth, ears and stuff...

Well, finally, my little baby is getting his 1 year molars. He pretty much has been teething them for the last 3 months (drool and all). Yesterday I felt the bottom left one just poking the tiniest bit through! But that one has a long way to go, and there are 3 others! It's going to be a long several (sleepless) weeks waiting for those teeth to come in!

Connor's fever has gone away, but he still seems to be in pain... whether that is due to his 2 ear infections, or the teeth, or both, who knows. Poor thing! He's still on antibiotics... he won't be done with those until next week.

Grandma and Grandpa Massachusetts are coming on Tuesday to visit for 2 weeks! We're excited. Dada is off to Texas for a training course for 2 weeks on April 13th. Thankfully my parents will be here for most of the time he is away. We're going to take a short trip to Florence while they are here, so that should be fun, since I haven't been there in about 10 years.

Oh well, I guess that is the update for now. I haven't taken any new pics. I'll try to do better. Connor is about to wake up from nap, so I have to run.... Ciao!
